Semi-transparent photovoltaic glazing

Wysips® Glass is a semi-transparent, photovoltaic glass solution that revolutionizes the solar architecture of buildings. This glass can be used in different configurations, eg for facades, curtain walls, either top or bottom fixed. It also allows for great flexibility in terms of design and transparency levels, as well as aesthetic freedom for architects. The product is available as laminated glass or ready fitted as insulated glass unit. Transparency levels are variable to 70% and designs can be customized (strips or micro-holes). Generated energy can be used for on-site consumption or to power a smart facade’s functionalities (sensors, dimmable glazing, sunshades for example) and protects the value of real estate assets over time.

The solution for cladding with a design look

Available in a large range of motifs, colors and designs, Wysips® Cameleon transforms the opaque envelope of a building into a an active surface. The photovoltaic modules thus marry aesthetics with performance and can be adapted to all types of facades. It is no longer necessary to sacrifice architectural design in favour of efficiency and functionality.
This allows for the production of electricity for total or partial self-consumption in the building.

Oline is a solution made of photovoltaic glazing associated to electronics
Semi-transparent photovoltaic glazing:
> Generates the necessary energy for a smart window
> Measures sunlight levels
Electronics:
> Transforms, optimizes and stores the energy of the photovoltaic glazing
> Optional: communicates with the BMS and manages the functionality integrated into the window depending on the sunlight.

For dimmable glazing, the Oline solution provides power autonomously (no need for cabling of the window). Dedicated electronics allow for the management of energy produced, operation of the glazing and communication with the BMS.
For a blind or opening flap, the Oline solution provides power for the motor of this component which is integrated into the window.
The absence of electric cabling, the reduction of the time needed to fit the window and the increased comfort of users favor the integration of smart functionalities in buildings.

HORIZON, the first ever smart solar window – autonomous and “3 in 1” connected, developed with VINCI Construction

Three functionalities in a single product: window, sun-shade and blind – made with transparent or invisible solar panels, the HORIZON window is a dimmable, communicating window that can be adapted to all types of office and commercial building projects, from new-builds to renovations.
HORIZON is made up of a photovoltaic insulated glass unit, an electrochromic dimmable insulated glass unit, an aluminium frame and a connection control-box. A connected device, the window can be controlled either remotely via the BMS or with a smartphone or with a remote-control unit. HORIZON is an economically efficient window, that has a similar capex of an existing window (with sun-shade and blinds) and a lower opex (roughly 20%) due to lower AC costs. Lower maintenance costs are also achieved due to the absence of mechanical moving parts.
Other benefits include increased comfort levels (users protected from glare and inside spaces from overheating), and ease of use.
